Maintenance Service Contract for Rail Grinding

NOTICE is hereby given that the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority will receive sealed bids until 2:00 PM, May 18, 2018 for Maintenance Service Contract for Rail Grinding.

The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to establish a one year contract for rail grinding services. The general scope of work includes profile rail grinding and offset grinding on VTA Light Rail System consisting of approximately - (22 track miles of double track on VTA’s Guadalupe South line). Grinding is required on open track sections (tangent and curves), grade crossings, turnouts, and embedded roadway sections to remove all surface defects from the rail including corrugations, shelling, rail imperfections, and surface roughness/irregularities to implement the desired rail head profiles.
