ANNOUNCEMENT OF NOTICE INVITING BIDS

FOR

Intake Pumping Plant 2.4 kV Power line Relocation

Specifications No. 1798A

Project Description:  The work consists of replacement of approximately 2.6 miles of 2.4 kV power and communications lines including removal and disposal of all existing wood poles and cables; installation of new steel poles and transformers; installation of power, telephone and fiber optic cables and appurtenances; reconnection of service lines from the transformers to homes and facilities; and all appurtenant work as specified and shown on the drawings.

The estimated construction cost is between $3,500,000 and $4,000,000.

Project Location: near Parker Dam, California

Mandatory Pre-bid Conference:  A pre-bid conference will be held with responsible representatives of prospective bidders at 10:00 a.m., April 25, 2018 at the Gene facilities, located at 158000 MWD Road, Parker Dam, California.  Attendance at this pre-bid conference by bidders that attended the mandatory pre-bid conference on November 30, 2017 under Specifications No. 1798 is not required.  No new information will be provided at this pre-bid conference.

Bids Due: 2:00 p.m., May 8, 2018, at Metropolitan’s Specifications Desk, Third Floor, 700 North Alameda Street, Los Angeles, California, 90012.
