Notice is hereby given that Boulder County will accept sealed bid proposals for the construction of: PROJECT TR-18-01 - 2018 EPOXY STRIPING - CONTRACT ID #TDST18178.
Bids will be accepted until 11:00 A.M., TUESDAY, MAY 1, 2018, at the office of Boulder County Transportation Department, 2525 13th St., Suite 203, Boulder, Colorado 80304. Bids received after said closing time of 11:00 A.M. will be returned unopened. As soon as practical, after said closing time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Office of Boulder County Transportation Department. Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "2018 EPOXY STRIPING".
Plans and specifications will be available on-line for a $10.00 fee beginning TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2018, through QuestCDN. QuestCDN is located using the Boulder County Purchasing website at: http://www.bouldercounty.org/gov/business/pages/biddingopportunities.aspx. Under “Bidding Opportunities” click on “Current Road and Bridge Construction Projects”, the QuestCDN site will open. Select the name of the project you are interested in and a page will open which will allow you to either view or download the plans and view or print the plan holders list.
Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. For questions, call JOSHUA TRICKEY TRAFFIC OPERATIONS ENGINEER at 720-564-2653.
Bidders must be listed on the current Colorado State Department of Transportation's qualifications list to qualify. Proposals are requested for the furnishing of all labor and materials on a UNIT basis. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check or Certified Check, payable to Boulder County, in the amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the Bid, to be retained by the County until a Contract is executed. If the successful Bidder should fail to enter into a Contract with the County to furnished bid, his check or bid bond will be held as liquidated damages; in which event the Contract may then be awarded to the next lowest bidder.
The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein, and to accept the proposal that in the opinion of the Board of County Commissioners is in the best interest of the Board and of the County of Boulder, State of Colorado.
