SOUTH ADAMS COUNTY WATER AND SANITATION DISTRICT
INVITATION TO BID
Sealed Bids will be received by the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District (OWNER) at 6595 East 70th Avenue, Commerce City, Colorado 80022 until 2:00 p.m., local time, Thursday April 26, 2018, for the project entitled “2018 SACWSD Wastewater Collection System Rehabilitation”. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The project generally consists of rehabilitating deteriorated 8-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch sanitary sewer mains with a cured in place pipe (CIPP) liner and appurtenances for the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District in Adams County, Colorado. The project is located on several different streets in the same general area, generally bound by E. 78th Avenue on the north, Colorado Boulevard on the west, E. 68th Avenue on the south, and Highway 85 on the east. The project is comprised of a Base Bid and two bid alternates. The Base Bid consists of installing approximately 22,700 lineal feet of 8-inch, 11,300 lineal feet of 10-inch, 6,800 lineal feet of 12-inch, and 1,900 lineal feet of 15-inch of CIPP. Alternate No. 1 consists of rehabilitating 124 manholes with a spray applied lining system. Alternate No. 2 consists of rehabilitating an additional 40 sewer manholes with the spray applied lining system. It is the Owner’s desire to award a Contract for the Base Bid. If budget limits allow, the Owner may choose to add Alternate No. 1 to the Contract or both Alternate No. 1 and Alternate No. 2 to the Contract.
All bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file with the owner, South Adams County Water and Sanitation District, 6595 East 70th Avenue, Commerce City, Colorado 80022; and at the office of Muller Engineering Company, Inc., 777 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Suite 4-100, Lakewood, Colorado 80226.
Copies of the Contract Documents for use in preparing Bids may be obtained from Muller Engineering Company, 777 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Suite 4-100, Lakewood, Colorado 80226. Bid documents will be available on Monday, April 9, 2018 at no charge.
Bids will be received on a unit price basis. Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid.
It is anticipated that the Contract Agreement will be signed and the Notice to Proceed will be issued in late May 2018. Construction shall be completed and ready for final payment within one hundred fifty (180) calendar days.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract.
The Bid and Bid Security will remain subject to acceptance for 77 calendar days after the Bid opening, or for such longer period of time that Bidder may agree to in writing upon request of Owner.
The District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional Bids.
